A delegation of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to the Anambra State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Tobechukwu Nweke, ahead of the association’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting scheduled to hold in Awka on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
The delegation, led by NBA President Afam Osigwe, met with the Attorney-General at his office as part of pre-NEC engagements.
According to the NBA President, the discussions focused on strengthening institutional collaboration between the Bar and the Ministry of Justice, advancing justice sector reforms, and improving the efficiency of justice delivery in Anambra State and across Nigeria.

The visit also underscored shared commitments to the rule of law and the continuous development of the justice system.
Osigwe commended the Attorney-General for what he described as his dedication to legal excellence and progressive justice administration, noting that the NBA values constructive engagement with key stakeholders in the justice sector.
The delegation was warmly received by the Attorney-General, who reportedly welcomed the NBA team and engaged them in discussions on areas of mutual interest in justice administration and reform.

The NEC meeting in Awka is expected to bring together senior members of the legal profession to deliberate on key issues affecting the legal system in Nigeria.
