A Los Angeles-based singer known as D4vd has been charged with the murder of a 14-year-old girl, according to prosecutors.
In a court filing by the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, authorities allege that Celeste Rivas Hernandez was killed in April 2025. The artist whose real name is David Anthony Burke has been charged with first-degree murder, continuous sexual abuse of a minor and mutilation of human remains.
Burke, 21, has pleaded not guilty. His attorneys have said they intend to vigorously contest the charges.
Prosecutors allege the two met in 2022 and maintained contact over time. Authorities believe Celeste was killed on April 23, 2025, after arriving at Burke’s Los Angeles residence. Investigators say evidence suggests efforts were made to conceal the crime.
Celeste had previously been reported missing by her family on multiple occasions, according to the filing. Her remains were later discovered in a vehicle linked to Burke.
The case has drawn widespread attention and remains under active legal proceedings, with a preliminary hearing scheduled for next month.
