Stakeholders from Southern Borno have demonstrated strong political solidarity with the Senator representing Borno South, Mohammed Ali Ndume, by collectively purchasing the All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial nomination form for his re-election bid.
The move, coordinated under the leadership of Hon. Adamu Yamta, brought together party leaders, loyalists, and supporters who contributed to securing the nomination form, in what many described as a rare display of grassroots unity and endorsement.
The development was followed by a delegation led by Senator Ndume, who presented the form to the Governor of Borno State, Babagana Umara Zulum, at the Government House in Maiduguri, where they formally sought his blessings and guidance.
Governor Zulum commended the stakeholders for their collective decision, describing it as a reflection of the senator’s wide acceptance and popularity in his constituency. He congratulated Ndume on the development and wished him success in the political process ahead.
“I wish to congratulate Senator Ndume for obtaining the form. The fact that our stakeholders collectively purchased it for him clearly shows the popularity and love he enjoys among his people. I wish you all the best, Distinguished,” the governor said.
In his response, Senator Ndume expressed appreciation to Governor Zulum for his leadership and continued support. He pledged renewed commitment to effective representation, unity, and development in Borno South Senatorial District.
The event attracted prominent political figures, including Hon. Jaha Ahmadu Usman, member representing Chibok/Damboa/Gwoza Federal Constituency; former Borno State Deputy Governor, Alhaji Ali Abubakar Jato; members of the APC State Executive Council; party supporters; and a large crowd of loyalists.
