The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced a revised schedule for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course for prospective corps members deployed to Enugu and Osun states.
According to an official statement issued by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the orientation exercise for the two states will now commence on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, and conclude on Monday, May 18, 2026.
This places the exercise one week behind the schedule for other states across the federation.
The NYSC explained that the adjustment is necessitated by ongoing extensive renovation works at the orientation camps in both Enugu and Osun states, being carried out by the respective state governments.
Meanwhile, the orientation programme for prospective corps members posted to the remaining 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will proceed as initially scheduled, running from Wednesday, April 22, 2026, to Tuesday, May 12, 2026.
The scheme urged all affected prospective corps members to take note of the revised dates and ensure strict compliance to avoid any inconvenience.
The NYSC also wished all incoming corps members a safe journey to their respective states of deployment.
