Israeli air attacks have struck multiple neighbourhoods in southern Beirut and other parts of southern Lebanon, as the conflict with Hezbollah continues. Lebanon’s National News Agency reported raids on Kafaat, Haret Hreik, and Doha Aramoun, including residential areas.

Key points:

At least 886 people killed (including 67 women and 111 children) and 2,141 wounded since fighting escalated on March 2.

Over one million people displaced, with more than 130,000 in collective shelters across Lebanon.

Israel claims attacks target Hezbollah military infrastructure and issued evacuation warnings extending 25 miles north of the Litani River.

Hezbollah has been firing around 100 rockets per day into Israel, sometimes in coordination with Iranian forces.

Israeli military announced a “limited and targeted ground operation” with intent to achieve strategic objectives in southern Lebanon.

Mixed signals on diplomatic talks: some Israeli officials signal potential negotiations, others deny intentions to continue talks.

The conflict represents one of the largest humanitarian crises in Lebanon in recent years, with widespread destruction and mass displacement.
