Pakistan has deployed its military and imposed a three-day curfew in parts of Gilgit-Baltistan after deadly protests over the US-Israel strike that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. At least 24 people died and dozens were injured as protesters clashed with security forces.

Curfews were enforced in Gilgit, Skardu, and Shigar, where confrontations led to 12 civilian and one security officer fatalities. In Karachi, 10 protesters were killed outside the US consulate, and over 60 were injured. Two more deaths occurred in Islamabad during a march toward the US embassy.

Protesters targeted UN offices, police stations, schools, local charities. UN officials confirmed property damage but emphasized the safety of their personnel.

Authorities strengthened security at US diplomatic missions nationwide, cancelling visa appointments and citizen services in Karachi and Lahore. Police warned that demonstrations could escalate further amid widespread anger over Khamenei’s killing.

Meanwhile, Tehran continues drone and missile attacks – targeting US and Israeli assets across Gulf countries.
