2027: APC IN UKANAFUN, ORUK ANAM ENDORSE AKWA IBOM LAWMAKER

Chapter and Ward executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ukanafun and Oruk Anam Local Government Areas of Akwa Ibom State have endorsed the member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives as their consensus candidate for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced during a consultation meeting with party executives, ward leaders, and stakeholders from the two local government areas.

The motion for the endorsement was moved by the APC Chapter Chairman of Ukanafun LGA, Akaninyene Ukpanah, and seconded by the APC Chapter Chairman of Oruk Anam LGA, Christopher Nelson George.

Party leaders at the meeting pledged total support for the lawmaker’s re-election bid, citing what they described as his outstanding performance in office, including constituency projects, empowerment initiatives, and grassroots development programmes.

The stakeholders also resolved to mobilise support across the federal constituency for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Governor Umo Eno, as well as APC candidates contesting various elective positions in the 2027 elections.

Among those mentioned were the member representing Ukanafun State Constituency, Hon. Emem Udom, and the member representing Oruk Anam State Constituency, Hon. Sampson Idiong.

Speaking during the meeting, the federal lawmaker expressed appreciation to party leaders and members for their support and confidence in his leadership.

He attributed his achievements in office to the cooperation and commitment of party faithful across the constituency.

The lawmaker assured the people of continued delivery of democratic dividends through empowerment programmes, infrastructure development, educational support, and youth and women inclusion initiatives.

He also called on party stakeholders to remain united and committed to the ideals of the APC ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that unity and collective effort would be critical to the party’s success at all levels.
