United States midfielder, Brenden Aaronson briefly left the national team’s World Cup training camp after receiving permission to attend his wedding ceremony.
The Leeds United player was excused from Friday’s training session and is expected to rejoin the squad immediately after the event, team officials confirmed.
Aaronson departed camp following Thursday’s training and was scheduled to return in time for Saturday’s session.
The 25-year-old is marrying his longtime partner, Milana D’Ambra, the daughter of Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer coach Don D’Ambra.

Aaronson, who was part of the U.S. squad at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is a member of a well-known American soccer family based in Medford, New Jersey.
His brother, Paxten Aaronson, plays for Major League Soccer side Colorado Rapids, while his sister, Jaden Aaronson, has featured at the collegiate level for Villanova University. Their father, Rusty Aaronson, serves as the sporting director of Real Futbol Academy in New Jersey.
Team sources said the midfielder was granted special permission to attend the ceremony and is expected to return to camp without disruption to his World Cup preparations.

The situation is similar to past instances where U.S. players were allowed brief personal leave during international duty, including occasions involving star players attending family or personal events before returning to national team duties.
The U.S. squad continues its preparations ahead of the tournament, with training ongoing under strict schedules as players balance personal commitments with national team responsibilities.
