Vice President Kashim Shettima has paid a condolence visit to his Protocol Liaison Officer, Tahir Mustapha Haruna, and his family in Maiduguri following the death of their elder brother, Kashim Mustapha Haruna.
During the visit, the Vice President described the loss as painful, noting that the death of a loved one leaves a void that only Almighty Allah can fill. He urged the bereaved family to draw strength from the deceased’s life of service, love and sacrifice.

Shettima prayed for Almighty Allah to forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him Aljannah Firdaus, while also asking God to give the family the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the loss.
He assured the family that they were not alone in their moment of grief and encouraged them to remain steadfast in faith.
The late Kashim Mustapha Haruna is survived by two wives, ten children, his elder brother, Mallam Daggash Mustapha Haruna of the University of Maiduguri, his younger brother, Tahir Mustapha Haruna, who serves as Protocol Liaison Officer to the Vice President, and other family members.
