SANWO-OLU SWEARS IN SEVEN PERMANENT SECRETARIES, INAUGURATES HEALTH COMMISSION

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in seven new Permanent Secretaries and inaugurated the Chairman and members of the Lagos State Health Service Commission.

The ceremony, held at the Banquet Hall of Lagos House, Ikeja, was confirmed in a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotosho.

Sanwo-Olu charged the new appointees to uphold professionalism, accountability, and efficiency in service delivery across ministries and agencies.

The newly sworn-in Permanent Secretaries are Engr. Adeyemi Adetunji Adesanya (Ministry of Urban Development), Mrs Durodola Olusola Bukonla (Local Government Service Commission), Mrs Oladeji Oluwatoyin Olubunmi (Cabinet Office), and Mr Sorungbe Tiwalade Adeyinka (Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology).

Others include Arc. Olukareh Bolanle Monica (Office of Works), Dr Oluwo Adenike Oluwafunmilayo (Health District II), and Dr Martins Babajide Olumuyiwa (Bureau of Public Defender).

The governor also inaugurated the Lagos State Health Service Commission, with Dr Oguntimehin Olukayode Olumuyiwa as Chairman. Other members include Dr Ogboye Olusegun Abayomi, Dr Odunuga Omolaja Odushola, Pharm. Dr Adejumo Moyosore Wuraola, and Dr Mrs. Fadipe Ololade Omolayo.

Sanwo-Olu described the appointments as a call to greater responsibility, urging the officials to strengthen governance structures and improve service delivery, particularly in key sectors such as health, infrastructure, and public administration.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to building a more efficient and responsive public service to support Lagos’ development and meet the needs of its growing population.
