Singer Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has reacted to fresh allegations by his twin brother, Peter Okoye, better known as Mr P, concerning the treatment of Peter’s wife, Lola Omotayo-Okoye, by members of the Okoye family.
Rudeboy’s response followed the release of the latest episode of Peter’s video series, in which he revisited events surrounding his family’s long-running dispute.
In the episode released on Thursday, Mr P alleged that his late mother, Josephine Okoye, alongside some family members and religious leaders, confronted him and Lola at his residence in Omole shortly after the birth of their son.
He claimed the meeting was convened to demand that Lola end her relationship with him.
According to Peter, the confrontation left his wife distressed, alleging that she was not properly received during the meeting and was eventually asked to leave the house.

He further alleged that one of his brothers made a derogatory comment about his newborn son during the confrontation, which he said caused Lola to break down in tears.
Mr P also claimed that members of the family had opposed Lola’s pregnancy and questioned the paternity of the child.
He alleged that his late mother later acknowledged the child as his biological son and asked some family members to apologise to him, but that the apology did not happen before her death.
Peter also disputed claims that Lola had a strained relationship with his late mother, saying his wife supported her during her illness and regularly stayed with her in hospital.
Reacting to the allegations in a post on social media on Friday, Rudeboy wrote: “Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.”

Although he did not directly address the individual claims made by his twin brother, the message was widely interpreted as a defence of their late mother.
The latest development adds to the continuing public fallout among the Okoye brothers, whose disputes have involved family relationships, the management of P-Square, finances, royalties and jointly owned assets.
Mr P has previously made several allegations against his elder brother, Jude Okoye, while Jude has denied some of the claims and maintained that certain matters are already before the courts.
Rudeboy, who has generally avoided engaging in public exchanges, has largely concentrated on his music career amid the renewed family controversy.
