Kenya Airways has confirmed the death of a passenger who suffered a medical emergency aboard one of its flights from Nairobi, Kenya, to Lagos.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, October 6, as the aircraft approached Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
According to the airline, the passenger became unresponsive at about 9:20 p.m. Nigerian time, approximately 20 minutes before the aircraft landed.
The flight arrived in Lagos at about 9:41 p.m., after which medical personnel boarded the aircraft to attend to the passenger.
Following an assessment, the medical team confirmed that the passenger had died.

Kenya Airways expressed condolences to the passenger’s family and friends following the incident.
The airline said it was working with the family, relevant authorities and aviation regulators to provide necessary assistance and facilitate the required procedures.
It added that it would continue to respect the privacy and dignity of the deceased and others affected by the incident.
The airline did not disclose the passenger’s identity or provide further details about the nature of the medical emergency.
