A member of the House of Representatives, Bamidele Salam, has donated 10 buses and 150 motorcycles to support the re-election campaign of Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

The donation was announced during the official launch of the Accord Party’s campaign activities across the Ede Federal Constituency in Osun State.

According to Salam, the vehicles are intended to strengthen grassroots mobilisation efforts and improve campaign logistics within the constituency. He explained that the buses and motorcycles would be distributed among coordinators drawn from the 42 wards in the federal constituency.

The lawmaker, who also serves as Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee of the Imole Campaign Council, said the initiative was designed to support door-to-door voter engagement and enhance coordination among campaign teams.

He urged beneficiaries to use the vehicles responsibly while working toward securing electoral support for the governor’s second-term ambition.

Speaking at the event, Modupeola Adeleke-Sanni commended the gesture and advised recipients to ensure proper and safe use of the donated vehicles throughout the campaign period.

Also speaking, Lere Oyewumi, who serves as Director-General of the Imole Campaign Council, described the donation as a reflection of Salam’s commitment to grassroots political engagement and party development.

Chairman of the campaign council, Wale Oladipupo, charged campaign members to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the election, expressing optimism about Adeleke’s chances at the polls.

Campaign activities for the Osun governorship election officially began in March, with political parties across the state increasing consultations and voter outreach ahead of the contest.

Governor Adeleke is seeking re-election on the platform of the Accord Party, while the All Progressives Congress has fielded Bola Oyebamiji as its candidate. Najeem Salaam is contesting under the African Democratic Congress alongside candidates from several other political parties.
