One person has been confirmed dead while two others were rescued alive following the collapse of a three-storey building under construction along Odili Road in Port Harcourt.
Rescue operations were ongoing at the scene as emergency responders worked to locate and evacuate other victims believed to be trapped beneath the rubble.

RISMADARVOICE gathered that several government officials and emergency agencies were present at the site coordinating rescue efforts. They included the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), the Permanent Secretary, Special Duties, the Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning, the Commissioner of Police, CP Olugbenga Adepoju, officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
The two survivors rescued from the debris were immediately taken to the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital for medical treatment.
Speaking to journalists at the scene, the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Director of Medical Services, Dr Vincent Wachukwu, said all relevant agencies were working together to ensure the safe rescue of those still trapped.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Port Harcourt Division, Yiboteme Kalio, assured that emergency responders would continue rescue operations until all victims were accounted for.

The Rivers State Comptroller of the Federal Fire Service, Ikenna Obasi, said personnel and equipment had been deployed to support ongoing search and rescue efforts.
As of the time of filing this report, rescue teams remained on site, combing through the rubble in search of additional survivors.
