The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (National Youth Service Corps), Gombe State, Chinwe Nnenna Nwachuku, has held a strategic engagement with staff of the Scheme in preparation for the forthcoming 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.

The meeting, which took place at the state secretariat, focused on strengthening operational planning, improving camp management strategies, and ensuring effective service delivery during the upcoming orientation exercise.

Addressing staff, Nwachuku charged personnel to uphold professionalism, discipline, and a strong sense of commitment in the discharge of their duties. She stressed the importance of teamwork, timely execution of assignments, and strict adherence to NYSC operational guidelines to guarantee a smooth and successful orientation programme.

Key areas discussed during the session included security arrangements, welfare of prospective corps members, and enhanced inter-agency collaboration to ensure a safe and well-coordinated camp environment.

Staff members were further encouraged to remain proactive and dedicated, with the Coordinator noting that the success of the orientation course would largely depend on collective effort and adequate preparedness.

The meeting also featured the formal introduction of key camp officials, including Camp Director Mr. Abdulsam Kabir and Deputy Camp Director Mr. Acharreng Shumwut Joseph.

Other highlights included a review of the previous orientation course, as well as a sensitisation session on Civic and Voter Education Community Development Service (CDS), delivered by the Schedule Officer of the NYSC KDI Civic and Voter Education CDS unit.

The engagement forms part of ongoing efforts by the Scheme to enhance efficiency and improve the overall experience of prospective corps members during orientation activities in Gombe State.
