The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course will commence on June 10, 2026, across orientation camps nationwide.
The scheme disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday and signed by the Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu.
According to the statement, the exercise will begin with the reception and registration of prospective corps members in all 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
NYSC stated that registration activities for the orientation programme would continue until midnight on Friday, June 12.

The scheme also announced that the swearing-in ceremony for prospective corps members mobilised for the 2026 Batch ‘B’ Stream I service year would be held on Friday, June 12.
According to the timetable released by the organisation, the orientation programme is expected to conclude on Tuesday, June 30, 2026.
The scheme wished all mobilised graduates a safe journey to their respective orientation camps and reiterated its long-standing safety advisory against travelling at night.

NYSC urged prospective corps members to halt their journeys once it is 6 p.m. if they are unable to complete their trips before dark.
It advised them to seek temporary shelter at designated corps members’ lodges, military formations, police stations, police outposts, or the residences of traditional rulers before continuing their journeys the following morning.
The scheme reiterated that adherence to the travel advisory remains important to ensure the safety and well-being of participants throughout the mobilisation exercise.
