The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has congratulated the Honourable Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, on the occasion of his 60th birthday, commending his leadership in communicating government policies, programmes, and activities.
In a statement issued by the agency, the Director-General, Lanre Issa-Onilu, conveyed warm felicitations to the minister, describing him as a focused and forward-looking leader whose dedication to public service has strengthened Nigeria’s information and national orientation sector.
Issa-Onilu noted that Idris’ stewardship has provided clear direction for agencies under the ministry, enabling them to more effectively engage citizens and promote national consciousness. He added that the minister’s emphasis on national values, civic responsibility, and patriotism has contributed to reshaping public discourse and encouraging a stronger sense of belonging among Nigerians.
According to the NOA chief, the minister’s leadership has injected renewed energy into efforts aimed at reconnecting citizens with the core ideals of unity, discipline, and collective responsibility—principles he said are vital for sustainable national development.
He further highlighted improvements in government communication under Idris’ guidance, citing greater clarity, structure, and consistency in messaging, which he said have enhanced public understanding of policies and fostered a more informed and engaged citizenry.

Issa-Onilu also acknowledged the minister’s commitment to truthful, timely, and responsible communication, noting that this approach has played a key role in countering misinformation and strengthening public trust in government institutions.
The NOA, he said, has continued to draw inspiration from the minister’s leadership, which has sharpened its operational focus and expanded its grassroots sensitisation campaigns across communities nationwide.
Reaffirming the agency’s support for the minister’s vision, Issa-Onilu pledged continued advocacy for discipline, integrity, and active citizenship, while urging Nigerians to take ownership of national development efforts.

He wished the minister continued success and prayed for long life and greater fulfilment.
