Manchester United are reportedly in advanced negotiations to sign Atalanta midfielder, Éderson, with discussions progressing over a potential summer transfer worth between €45 million and €50 million.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that while agreements are close between both clubs, the deal is still awaiting final approval from Manchester United, who are yet to decide whether to fully proceed and complete the signing.
The Brazilian midfielder is said to be keen on a move away from the Italian side, with United discussing a long-term contract that could run for five years if the transfer is finalised.
Sources indicate that Éderson is actively pushing for an exit from Atalanta, as interest from Old Trafford intensifies ahead of the transfer window.
Atalanta manager Raffaele Palladino added further weight to the speculation after confirming that the midfielder was left out of the squad for their Serie A clash against Fiorentina on Friday due to ongoing transfer negotiations.
“Éderson didn’t play today because there are concrete negotiations with a top club,” Palladino stated, hinting strongly at advanced discussions.
The absence has further fuelled expectations that the midfielder’s departure could be imminent, with talks between both clubs reportedly at an advanced stage.
Manchester United are expected to make a final decision in the coming days as they continue to assess midfield reinforcements ahead of the new season.
