Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has approved a fresh round of appointments into his administration, naming new advisers and aides across housing, rural development, information, sports, tourism and other sectors.
The appointments were announced on Friday in a statement by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
Among the appointees is the immediate past Chairman of the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission and former member of the state Advisory Council, Pastor Akin Alamu, who was appointed a member of the Oyo State Elders’ Council.
Makinde also appointed Elijah Kolawole Akanmu as Special Adviser on Housing and a member of the Board of the Oyo State Housing Corporation, while Sakariya Mohammed Taofik was named Special Adviser on Rural Development.
Other appointments were conveyed in letters signed by the governor’s Chief of Staff, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi.
Yinka Oladoyinbo was appointed Executive Assistant on Information and Orientation, while Ronke Giwa-Onafuwa and Dapo Falade were named Senior Special Assistants on Information and Orientation.
Seun Adelore was appointed Senior Special Assistant on Chieftaincy Matters.
Former Chairman of the Oyo State Sports Council, Gbenga Adewusi, was named Executive Assistant on the Sports Commission, while Ogundele Quadri was appointed Special Assistant on Urban Development.
Elder Olawale Olugbenga, JP, was appointed Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism, while Ibrahim Abayomi was named Executive Assistant on Works.
Makinde charged the new appointees to discharge their responsibilities with dedication, commitment and loyalty to the people and government of Oyo State.
The appointments take immediate effect.
