Nigerian social media personality Jarvis has threatened legal action against her husband, Peller, following a disagreement over his reported intention to marry another woman.
In a video shared on social media, Jarvis expressed frustration over the development, saying their marriage was not yet four months old and that the possibility of Peller taking another wife was different from what she understood before they married.
According to Jarvis, Peller told her that he is Muslim and that any woman he might take as a second wife would also be Muslim.
She questioned why the subject was being raised so soon after their marriage and maintained that it was inconsistent with what she said had been discussed before their wedding.
“Our marriage is not even up to four months, and he’s already threatening to get a second wife,” Jarvis said.
She repeatedly threatened to sue Peller during the heated exchange, accusing him of changing the understanding on which she had agreed to the marriage.
“This is not what you told me before I agreed to marry you,” she said.
Jarvis also threatened that Peller would “sleep in prison,” although she did not specify the legal grounds on which she intended to take action.
