Grammy-winning Nigerian-British singer and songwriter, Talay Riley has reportedly died after being stabbed in East London.

According to reports, the 35-year-old artiste, whose real name was Mark Yinka Orabiyi, was attacked on June 5, 2026, in the Silvertown area of London.

The incident reportedly occurred on Pankhurst Avenue at about 9 a.m., where he was said to have sustained multiple stab wounds.

Despite efforts by emergency responders and paramedics, Talay Riley was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Metropolitan Police Service confirmed that homicide detectives from its Specialist Crime Command have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the killing.

Authorities have not yet released details regarding any suspects or possible motives, while inquiries into the incident remain ongoing.

Talay Riley was widely recognised for his contributions to the music industry as a singer, songwriter and producer, earning international acclaim through collaborations with several prominent artistes and projects that received Grammy recognition.
