The management of Federal Polytechnic Ukana has approved the introduction of an online application portal for its ongoing recruitment exercise following appeals from prospective applicants across the country.
In a statement issued by the institution’s Registrar and Secretary to Council, Idhigu H. L., the Polytechnic said the decision was taken after several qualified Nigerians residing in distant locations complained about difficulties associated with the physical mode of application earlier announced.
The institution noted that the vacancies were initially advertised in the May 7, 2026 editions of The Sun and Vanguard newspapers.
According to the statement, the management, in consultation with the Governing Council, approved the online application process as part of efforts to ensure equal opportunity and wider access for interested candidates.
“Interested candidates who are yet to apply are hereby advised to visit the school’s official website to complete and submit their applications online,” the statement read.
The management, however, warned applicants who had already submitted applications through the previously approved physical process not to submit fresh applications online, stressing that multiple submissions could result in disqualification.
The Polytechnic also clarified that the closing date for submission of applications remains six weeks from May 7, 2026, as earlier advertised.
The institution reaffirmed its commitment to a transparent and inclusive recruitment process for all qualified applicants.
