First City Monument Bank (FCMB), in partnership with 247 Travels, has introduced a new travel financing solution, “Book Now, Fly Later,” allowing eligible customers to access loans of up to N10 million to purchase international flight tickets and repay over a period of three to nine months.
The initiative is aimed at making international travel more affordable by enabling customers to spread the cost of air tickets for business, education, medical treatment, tourism and family-related trips.
The financing facility, offered through FCMB Premium Banking, is available exclusively for flight bookings made via 247 Travels.

According to the bank, both salaried and self-employed FCMB customers who meet the eligibility requirements can apply for the loan, with successful applications expected to receive approval and disbursement within 24 working hours.
The partnership combines FCMB’s lending services with 247 Travels’ flight booking platform, providing customers with a flexible payment option as demand for instalment-based financing continues to grow.
FCMB Managing Director, Yemisi Edun, said the product reflects the bank’s commitment to helping customers achieve their personal and professional goals without unnecessary financial pressure.
She explained that the “Book Now, Fly Later” scheme is designed to make travel more accessible while allowing customers to manage their finances responsibly through convenient repayment plans.
Edun added that the initiative aligns with FCMB’s broader strategy of driving financial inclusion through innovative products and strategic partnerships.
The Managing Director of 247 Travels, Tunji Adeyemi, said the collaboration addresses one of the biggest challenges faced by travellers: the need to pay the full cost of flight tickets upfront.
According to him, the programme provides customers with greater convenience and flexibility by allowing them to secure travel bookings immediately while spreading payments over time.

Also speaking, FCMB’s Group Head of Premium Banking, Opeyemi Makinwa, noted that the product is part of the bank’s growing portfolio of lifestyle-focused financial solutions.
She said modern banking should seamlessly fit into customers’ everyday lives, adding that the new travel financing option offers greater financial control and convenience.
Interested customers can apply through FCMB’s Book Now, Fly Later platform or the 247 Travels website by selecting their preferred flight and submitting a financing request. Once approved, the loan is disbursed, and the airline ticket is issued through 247 Travels.
