DEFENCE HEADQUARTERS GRADUATES AIR-TO-GROUND COMBATANTS, REAFFIRMS MILITARY READINESS

The Defence Headquarters has completed a 16-week Air-to-Ground Combatant Training programme designed to strengthen the operational capabilities and combat readiness of personnel of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

The training equipped participants with skills in advanced combat operations, tactical coordination, precision targeting and mission planning for joint military operations.

The Defence Headquarters said the programme was part of ongoing efforts to enhance the capacity of military personnel to respond effectively to emerging security threats and protect Nigeria’s territorial integrity.

According to the military authorities, the training was structured to improve coordination between ground forces and air assets in modern combat operations.

The Defence Headquarters said the newly trained combatants had acquired the necessary skills for deployment and would contribute to ongoing military operations aimed at restoring peace and security across the country.

The completion of the programme, it added, showcased the Armed Forces’ continued focus on professional training, operational effectiveness and preparedness for contemporary security challenges.
