Three persons have been convicted and sentenced by the Kaduna State High Court for offences bordering on internet impersonation.

The convictions were secured by the Kaduna Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) before Justices A.A. Isiaka, A.A. Bello, and Murtala J. Zubairu sitting in Kaduna.

The convicts: Tope Alonge, David Williams, and Gideon Oche Jeff were each arraigned on a one-count charge of impersonation and were found guilty by the courts.

The EFCC said the convictions form part of its sustained efforts to combat cybercrime and other financial offences across the country, warning that individuals involved in internet-related fraud would continue to face the full weight of the law.
