The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has hosted Chiefs of Army and senior military leaders from Africa and other parts of the world as part of activities marking the 163rd Nigerian Army Day Celebration in Port Harcourt.
Addressing the gathering, Lieutenant General Shaibu described the event as an opportunity to strengthen military diplomacy, promote professional collaboration and enhance the exchange of operational experience among partner armies.
He noted that growing transnational security threats require stronger international cooperation, knowledge sharing and interoperability to improve collective security and regional stability.
The reception formed part of the week-long Nigerian Army Day Celebration, highlighting the Army’s commitment to strengthening defence partnerships and advancing regional and global security.
