Barcelona have requested a two-hour delay to Sunday’s Liga F clash against Real Madrid amid concerns over extreme rainfall and possible flooding.
The match, originally scheduled to kick off at 5:00pm at Spotify Camp Nou, could instead begin at 7:00pm if the proposed change is approved by the competition authorities.
Barcelona said the request was intended to provide additional time to prepare the stadium and ensure that required safety conditions were met before supporters arrived.
The club has also suspended activities at its facilities from 8:00pm on Saturday until 2:00pm on Sunday in accordance with measures introduced by the relevant authorities because of the adverse weather conditions.

The suspension affects sporting activities and training sessions, as well as cultural, social, leisure and other scheduled events.
Barcelona said the women’s match against Real Madrid remained under review and that it was maintaining contact with Liga F and other relevant authorities.
The club said moving kickoff to 7:00pm would give officials additional time to ensure the stadium was fully operational and would also make travel and access easier for supporters affected by the weather conditions.
A final decision is expected on Sunday morning and will depend on the weather situation and instructions from the relevant authorities.

Barcelona said supporters would be informed of any changes through the club’s official communication channels.
