Arsenal have been crowned 2025/26 English Premier League champions after Manchester City were held to a 1-1 draw by Bournemouth on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side needed a victory at the Vitality Stadium to keep the title race alive heading into the final day of the season, but Erling Haaland’s late equaliser was not enough to prevent Arsenal from sealing the crown.
The result leaves the North London club mathematically unreachable at the top of the table with one game remaining, ending a 22-year wait for a league title since Arsène Wenger’s “Invincibles” side lifted the trophy in the 2003/04 season.
Arsenal’s triumph follows three consecutive runner-up finishes and marks manager Mikel Arteta’s second major trophy since taking charge at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners moved closer to the title with a 1-0 victory over Burnley on Monday before City’s slip against Bournemouth confirmed them as champions.
In a statement released on Tuesday night, Arsenal described the achievement as their 14th English top-flight title.
“We have been crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions with a game to spare, after an incredible campaign in N5 has ended with us claiming our 14th top-flight championship,” the club said.
The club added that Arteta had become the first Arsenal manager in 22 years to win the Premier League title, following in the footsteps of Wenger.
Arsenal have won 25 of their 37 league matches this season, drawing seven and losing five. Their defensive form has been key to the triumph, with 19 clean sheets recorded so far, while goalkeeper David Raya is on course to claim the Golden Glove award for the third straight season.
The title will be formally celebrated on Sunday when Arsenal face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in their final game of the campaign.
Meanwhile, Bournemouth secured European qualification for the first time in the club’s 127-year history following the draw with City.

Junior Kroupi gave the hosts the lead in the first half before Haaland rescued a point for the visitors in stoppage time.
The result also extended Bournemouth’s unbeaten run to 17 matches, equalling a club record set during the 1981/82 season.
