The Management of Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua has approved the appointment of Ms. Ekereobong Idang as the Acting Head of the Department of Mass Communication, with immediate effect.
Her appointment reflects the institution’s confidence in her academic competence and commitment to the advancement of teaching and learning.
Prior to this appointment, Ms. Idang served as the Departmental Examination Officer, where she played a key role in coordinating examinations, upholding academic standards and integrity. Her performance in that capacity demonstrated diligence and a strong understanding of academic processes.
Her appointment is expected to further enhance the growth and development of the Department of Mass Communication.
The Polytechnic Management expresses confidence in her ability to effectively steer the department and contribute to the institution’s broader mandate of academic excellence.
The official handover will take place in the coming days, with her succeeding Dr. Unwana Charles, who has been appointed Dean of the School of Communication Arts at Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua.
