The Inspector General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, has received the Managing Director of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, Shehu Usman Osidi, and his management team during a courtesy visit to the Force Headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, the Managing Director expressed appreciation to the IGP for the warm reception and described the Nigeria Police Force as one of the Bank’s most strategic institutional partners. He commended the Force for its cooperation and called for deeper collaboration to ensure that police personnel can access housing benefits and mortgage facilities without administrative delays or disputes.

Osidi stated that the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria remains committed to expanding access to affordable housing for officers through improved service delivery and tailored mortgage products designed to meet the specific needs of security personnel.

In his response, IGP Egbetokun described the visit as timely and a significant step toward strengthening institutional partnership between both organisations. He noted that such cooperation is vital to achieving the Force’s objective of providing sustainable housing solutions for serving officers and retirees.

The Police boss reaffirmed that the welfare of all police personnel remains a top priority under his leadership, stressing that access to affordable and decent housing is critical to improving morale, productivity and operational efficiency.

According to him, officers who are assured of stable living conditions are better motivated to carry out their constitutional duties in protecting lives and property across the country.

He further assured that the Nigeria Police Force will continue to foster strategic partnerships with key institutions to ensure the dignity and long term wellbeing of officers during and after active service.
