Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and ex-Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria after spending several weeks on vacation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Ganduje arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos, on Saturday at about 4:30pm aboard an Emirates Airlines flight. He later proceeded to Abuja, where he arrived at about 8pm the same day.
According to a statement issued on Saturday by his Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, the former APC national Chairman is expected to begin series of consultations and stakeholders’ meetings following his return to the country.
The engagements, the statement said, will focus on recent political developments in Kano State, with Ganduje expected to review the evolving political landscape, consult widely with party leaders and other critical stakeholders.
Garba also disclosed that Ganduje would participate in the ongoing APC nationwide electronic membership registration (e-registration) exercise.
The statement noted that the initiative, which was introduced during Ganduje’s tenure as APC national Chairman, was aimed at modernizing the party’s membership database, improving internal planning, ensuring that membership records are comprehensive, credible, easily accessible.
“The former Governor remains committed towards strengthening party structures and promoting inclusive dialogue in support of democratic consolidation within the APC, particularly in Kano State,” the statement added.
