Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has announced that the Rafah Border Crossing will remain closed until the remains of the last hostage, St.-Sgt.-Maj. Ran Gvili, are returned.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich described it as Israel’s duty, stating that Hamas must ensure Gvili is brought home.

The closure underscores ongoing tensions between Israel and Hamas, reflects Israel’s firm stance on securing the release of its personnel.
