The Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) Jigawa State chapter, has inaugurated it’s new executive officers to lead the affairs of the Union in the next tenure of years.
The new state executive include Comrade Dauda Shu’aibu A. Guri as Chairman of the Union, Comrade Surajo Yaro, State Secretary and Isah Muhammad Malam-Madori to serve as Vice chairman.
The inauguration of new executive followed the Congress of the Union, where the new leadership emerged under the supervision of National delegation of the Union led NUT National Vice President Comrade Muhammad Abubakar Hambali, held on Thursday at Manpower Development Institute, Dutse.
Also, the Congress converged all the delegates from 27 local government areas of Jigawa State, produced the new leadership through consensus whom took oath of office instantly.
Speaking shortly after swearing into office, the new chairman, comrade Dauda Shu’aibu A Guri, assured to run an inclusive leadership as well as to work in team for the betterment of teachers in the state.
Guri, who urged teachers put justice, dedication in their duties, promised to fight for the right and welfare of teachers.
He also commended the state Governor for introducing new welfare packages like, donation of vehicles and motorcycles to teachers across the 27 Local Education Authorities.

He equally commended the NUT National delegation for attending the Congress and the entire participants of the Congress.
In his remarks on behalf of National delegation team, the National Vice of NUT, comrade Muhammad Abubakar Hambali expressed satisfaction with the Congress’ process, urged the new executive to carry all along, ensure justice, transparency for better welfare of teachers in Jigawa.
