President Bola Tinubu is expected to unveil a six-volume publication documenting landmark legal cases handled by Chief Wole Olanipekun, SAN, during his 50 years in the Nigerian legal profession.
The publication, titled Wole Olanipekun Through the Cases, will be presented on November 19, 2026, during the WOC Justice Summit, an initiative of Wole Olanipekun & Co.
According to the organisers, the unveiling will take place a day after Olanipekun’s 75th birthday, marking both his five decades at the Nigerian Bar and his contributions to the development of Nigerian jurisprudence.
The publication examines significant constitutional, electoral and commercial cases handled by the senior lawyer since his call to the Nigerian Bar in 1976.
It features forewords by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, and the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN.
Contributors include retired judicial officers, legal scholars, Senior Advocates of Nigeria and other legal practitioners who examine the implications of selected cases for Nigeria’s legal system.

Among the matters highlighted are presidential election disputes in which Olanipekun reportedly served as lead counsel to four successive Nigerian presidents since 2007.
Born on November 18, 1951, Olanipekun attained the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in July 1991.
He was appointed Attorney-General of the former Ondo State in 1992 and subsequently served as President of the Nigerian Bar Association in 2002.
He also chaired the Body of Benchers between 2022 and 2023.
Olanipekun currently serves as Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the University of Lagos, having previously held similar positions at the University of Ibadan and Ajayi Crowther University.
He is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ajayi Crowther University and Chancellor of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere-Ekiti.
The 2026 WOC Justice Summit will focus on the theme, From Precedent to Possibility: The Lawyer’s Role in Shaping the Next Fifty Years of Justice, Democracy and Public Trust.

Organisers said the event would bring together judicial officers, legal practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders to discuss justice-sector reforms and the future of Nigeria’s legal system.
Further details of the summit’s programme and participating personalities are expected to be announced before November 19.
