United States President Donald Trump has indicated that Washington could undertake further military action against Iran, amid escalating regional tensions, reported attacks on oil tankers and worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza and Yemen.

Trump made the remarks while defending the United States’ military campaign against Iran, claiming that American forces had inflicted substantial damage on the country.

“We’ve knocked the hell out of them, and we may do it a little bit further,” Trump reportedly said, without providing details of any planned operation.

His comments came as Iranian authorities reported that seven oil tankers had been damaged in the Strait of Hormuz within a single day.

The reported incidents have heightened concerns about the security of commercial shipping through the strategic waterway, which serves as a major route for international oil exports.

However, the circumstances surrounding the reported damage, the identities of the affected vessels and the extent of their losses have not been independently established.

Any prolonged disruption to shipping through the strait could affect global energy supplies and increase uncertainty in international oil markets.

Meanwhile, Gaza continues to experience violence despite diplomatic efforts to contain the conflict.

At least four Palestinians, including a child, were reportedly killed in Israeli attacks within 24 hours, according to accounts from the territory.

Humanitarian organisations have also expressed concern over restrictions affecting food deliveries and other essential supplies, warning that continued disruption could worsen hunger and civilian suffering.

In Yemen, residents of Taiz are facing additional hardship following restrictions on a major supply route attributed to Houthi forces.

United Nations humanitarian agencies have warned that conflict-related access restrictions have disrupted assistance to approximately 800,000 people, raising concerns about food insecurity, water shortages and access to healthcare.

The disruption has complicated relief operations in communities already affected by years of conflict and economic instability.

International humanitarian organisations have repeatedly called for the protection of civilians and unrestricted access for emergency assistance.

The developments across Iran, Gaza and Yemen illustrate the wider security and humanitarian consequences of the regional conflicts.

While Trump’s remarks suggest the possibility of further military escalation, the reported threats to shipping and restrictions on humanitarian assistance have intensified concerns about regional stability and the welfare of affected populations.
