Candidates contesting United States Senate seats in Michigan, Georgia and Maine are scheduled to participate in debates on Thursday as political campaigns intensify ahead of the November elections.
The debates are expected to provide opportunities for candidates to outline their policy positions, address major national and state concerns, and respond to questions about their plans for the Senate.
Issues likely to feature in the discussions include economic conditions, immigration, healthcare, public safety and federal government policies.

The debates come as political parties and candidates increase campaign activities in an effort to reach undecided voters and consolidate support before election day.
Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is scheduled to attend a scientific innovation summit at the United States Institute of Peace.
The event is expected to bring together prominent technology industry leaders and senior government officials to discuss scientific advancement, emerging technologies and innovation.
Energy Secretary Chris Wright and NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman are also scheduled to address participants.
In another development, a new NBC News/Telemundo poll has highlighted concerns among Latino voters regarding the Trump administration’s immigration and border security policies.

The survey indicates dissatisfaction among some respondents, particularly over the personal and community-level effects of immigration enforcement measures.
The findings come as immigration remains a prominent issue in political discussions ahead of the November elections.
The scheduled debates, administration engagements and emerging voter concerns reflect the range of issues shaping political discussions as the United States approaches another major electoral contest.
