Some filling stations in Nigeria have reduced their petrol pump prices, with operators adjusting rates amid competition in the downstream petroleum market.
A market check showed that outlets operated by AA Rano, Mobil and some other retailers had lowered their petrol prices.
AA Rano reduced its pump price from N1,450 to N1,420 per litre, representing a N30 decrease.
Mobil also cut its price from N1,435 to N1,410 per litre, a reduction of N25.
Despite the adjustments, petrol prices remain relatively high across the market, with pump prices varying from one location and retailer to another.
The latest reductions come amid movements in the international crude oil market. At the time of the report, Brent crude was trading at about $103 per barrel, while West Texas Intermediate (WTI) stood at approximately $100.30 per barrel.
The recent price adjustments follow pressure on fuel retailers to review their pump prices as market conditions change.
Petrol prices at different filling stations had previously ranged between N1,395 and N1,450 per litre, depending on the location and operator.
