Liverpool Football Club have completed the signing of France forward Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth up to £123 million as the Premier League club continue their summer squad rebuild.
The 23-year-old winger joins Liverpool after the Reds agreed to pay an initial fee of £106 million, with a further £17 million expected to be paid in potential add-ons.
Barcola has signed a five-year contract at Anfield and becomes the club’s fifth major arrival of the summer transfer window, following the signings of winger Victor Munoz and defenders Jeremy Jacquet, Ronald Araujo and Ifeanyi Ndukwe.
Speaking after completing his move, Barcola said he was delighted to join Liverpool and expressed his ambition to win major trophies with the club.
“It took a long time, but I’m really happy today to be able to play for Liverpool, and all I want is to be on the pitch and be able to play,” Barcola said.
“I hope to achieve very big things. First of all, winning the Premier League — it’s one of the biggest dreams in my life.”
The France international, who will wear the number 29 shirt, is primarily a left winger but is also capable of operating across the attacking positions.
Liverpool moved for Barcola following changes to their attacking options, including the departure of Mohamed Salah, Hugo Ekitike’s long-term injury absence and uncertainty surrounding Cody Gakpo’s future.
Barcola enjoyed a successful spell at PSG after joining from Lyon in 2023. During his time in Paris, he won three Ligue 1 titles, two Champions League trophies, two French Cups, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
Last season, he scored 13 goals and provided seven assists in 49 appearances across all competitions for PSG. He also featured in all eight of France’s matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scoring three goals as the national team reached the third-place play-off.
Liverpool’s new signing is known for his attacking ability, pace and direct style of play. His performances last season placed him among Europe’s most dangerous wide players, with impressive statistics for shots, attacking carries and touches inside the opposition penalty area.
He also ranked highly for defensive contributions, with his pressing ability and work rate without the ball considered key qualities that attracted Liverpool’s recruitment team.
Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 for a reported £38.5 million and leaves the French champions after making 152 appearances for the club.
The transfer further highlights Liverpool’s significant investment under manager Andoni Iraola as the club prepares for another competitive Premier League campaign.
