Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has honoured the memory of late Deaconess Jenny Ufot with a fresh commitment to infrastructure development in her community.
Governor Eno committed at the funeral of the 96-year-old mother of advertising executive, Udeme Ufot, held at Ishiet Erong in Etinan Local Government Area.
Describing the deceased as a woman whose life was defined by faith, compassion and service, Governor Eno said her greatest legacy was the quality of children she raised and the positive impact they continue to make in society.
As part of his tribute, the Governor directed the Commissioner for Works, Professor Eno Ibanga, and the Managing Director of Hensek Group, Engineer Uwem Okoko, to complete the Afaha Akpan Ekpo Road before the end of the year.
Former Governors Udom Emmanuel and Victor Attah were among dignitaries who joined the family to celebrate the life of the deceased.
