Spanish giants Real Madrid have completed the signing of striker Carlos Espi from Levante in a deal reportedly worth €25 million.

The 21-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract that will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until June 2031, the club announced on Thursday.

In a statement, Madrid confirmed the transfer, saying Espi would become part of the squad ahead of the new season.

The young striker impressed in La Liga last season, scoring 11 goals in 25 league appearances, attracting interest from several Premier League clubs before Madrid secured his signature.

Espi’s arrival comes as academy forward Gonzalo Garcia is expected to complete a move to Premier League side Fulham.

The Spaniard becomes Real Madrid’s fifth signing of the summer transfer window, following the arrivals of Marc Cucurella, Bernardo Silva, Ibrahima Konate, and Denzel Dumfries.

The club is also reportedly closing in on RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, while Manchester City midfielder Rodri has been linked with a move to the Spanish capital.

Madrid are rebuilding their squad under new head coach José Mourinho, who replaced Alvaro Arbeloa, after the club endured two successive seasons without winning a major trophy.
