President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid glowing tribute to elder statesman and progressive politician, Alhaji Ganiyu Kolapo Oseni, describing him as a trusted ally, brother and champion of democracy.
In a statement, President Tinubu said the late Oseni played a pivotal role in his political journey, recalling that he supported his emergence as Senator for Lagos West and later Governor of Lagos State.
The President praised Oseni’s contributions to the pro-democracy struggle, including the campaign to actualise the June 12 mandate and efforts to end military rule in Nigeria.
Tinubu described the late politician as a visionary leader whose legacy would endure, and prayed for Almighty Allah to grant him Aljanna Firdaus and comfort his family.
