Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has reaffirmed the state’s commitment to delivering massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the 2027 general elections.
Governor Yusuf made the declaration during an interactive meeting with elected and appointed government officials at the Government House in Kano.
According to a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor said Kano would play a leading role in securing President Tinubu’s re-election, insisting that the APC-led administration in the state has no regrets over its support for the President.
He described President Tinubu’s re-election as a collective responsibility of all party members and government officials and directed political appointees who are yet to register with the APC to do so without delay.
Governor Yusuf stressed that all elected and appointed officials must actively strengthen the party’s structures ahead of the 2027 elections, while reaffirming his administration’s commitment to securing victory for the APC in the presidential, governorship, National Assembly, State Assembly and local government polls.
The governor also approved the allocation of plots of land to more than 300 political aides, alongside a cash reward of one hundred thousand naira for each beneficiary.
Meanwhile, Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Ismail Falgore, said the APC would continue to promote the achievements of President Tinubu in Kano, while the party’s state chairman, Umar Haruna Doguwa, expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.
