Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua, has commenced admissions into its National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The institution announced that candidates seeking admission into its ND programmes must have scored a minimum of 100 in the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and possess at least five credit passes, including English Language and Mathematics, in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or their equivalents.

The polytechnic said the ND screening fee is ₦2,000, while the HND application fee is ₦10,000.
Available ND programmes cover the Schools of Applied Sciences, Engineering, Business and Management Studies, and Communication Arts, while HND programmes are offered in Applied Sciences, Environmental Studies, Engineering, Business and Management Studies, and Communication Arts.
For HND admission, applicants are required to possess a minimum of Lower Credit in a relevant National Diploma from an NBTE-accredited institution, along with one year of post-ND industrial work experience. Candidates with a Pass grade in ND must have at least two years of post-ND industrial experience.

The institution directed prospective applicants to complete their applications online through its admission portal, upload the required documents, pay the prescribed fees and print their acknowledgement slips after submission.
The management said the closing date for the application would be announced later and advised prospective candidates to visit the admission portal for further information.
