Authorities in Brazil said six people died when two helicopters collided in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area of Rio de Janeiro. The cause of the crash remains under investigation, with officials reportedly examining possible human error involving either pilot actions or air traffic control.

Oliver Tree, 32, was listed as a passenger on one of the aircraft. Other victims were identified by police as Argentine YouTuber Gaspar Prim Díaz, known as “Gaspi,” fellow Argentine Lucas Vignale, and Brazilians Lucas Brito, Charles Marsillac, and Alexandre Souza, according to the Associated Press.
The singer had been touring in South America at the time of the incident, with scheduled performances including a June 6 show in São Paulo.
Tributes have continued to pour in for the California-born artist, known for his distinctive style and genre-blending music career, which produced hits such as Life Goes On and Miss You.

In the statement, his social media accounts also referenced a charitable initiative he had been developing, which will reportedly be carried forward in his memory.
“Your legacy will live on forever,” the post added.
