GOV ENO BRIEFS AKPABIO ON APC CONGRESSES, POLITICAL DEVELOPMENTS IN AKWA IBOM

Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State on Sunday led members of the State Local Technical Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on a courtesy visit to the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, at his Uyo residence.

The meeting, which brought together key leaders of the party in the state, focused on political developments within the APC, including the recently concluded ward, local government and state congresses.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Eno said the delegation came to welcome the Senate President to the state and brief him on activities within the party, particularly the outcome of the congresses conducted across Akwa Ibom.

According to the governor, the engagement formed part of ongoing consultations aimed at strengthening party unity and keeping the Senate President informed about political developments in the state.

In his remarks, Senator Akpabio welcomed the delegation and congratulated Governor Eno on the occasion of Father’s Day, offering prayers for wisdom and success as he continues to lead the state.

The Senate President also commended the governor for the successful commissioning of the International Terminal of the Victor Attah International Airport, describing the facility as one of the best aviation projects in the country.

He noted that investments in critical infrastructure such as aviation would contribute significantly to economic growth, tourism development and increased investor confidence in Akwa Ibom State.

The meeting was attended by several prominent APC stakeholders, including the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; Executive Director, Projects, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Sir Victor Antai; former National Legal Adviser of the APC, Emmanuel Enoidem (SAN); APC State Chairman, Stephen Ntukekpo; APC State Secretary, Envoy Nsentip Akpabio; Mandate Secretary, FCT, Ubokutom Nyah; Hon. Pat Umoh; Engineer Uwem Okoko (Hensek), among others.

The visit is seen as part of ongoing consultations among party leaders ahead of future political engagements and efforts to consolidate the APC’s growing influence in Akwa Ibom State.
