The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA), Prof. Leo Daniel, has congratulated the management, staff, and students of the Federal College of Education (FCE), Ididep, Ibiono Ibom, on the successful conduct of the institution’s second matriculation ceremony.
Prof. Daniel joined other education stakeholders and heads of tertiary institutions at the ceremony held on Tuesday at the college’s sports ground, where a new batch of students formally commenced their academic journey.
In a goodwill message delivered on his behalf by the University Registrar, Mrs Offiongita Nkang, the Vice-Chancellor praised the Acting Provost of the College, Dr Celina Nongo, and the entire college community for what he described as a significant academic milestone that reflects dedication, commitment, and hard work.
He commended the institution for its steady growth and commitment to training qualified teachers who will contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria’s education sector.
Prof. Daniel also highlighted FUTIA’s readiness to establish strategic collaborations with the Federal College of Education in areas of research, manpower development, technological innovation, and community advancement.
The Vice-Chancellor congratulated the matriculating students on their admission and encouraged them to remain focused on academic excellence, while also expressing appreciation to the Federal Government for its continued investment in the education sector.
