Nigerian rapper, Blaqbonez, has disclosed why he reportedly turned down an offer said to be worth $1 million from Mavin Records.
The rapper made the revelation in a post shared on his official X (formerly Twitter) account, where he explained that his decision was influenced by his personal approach to social media engagement and public interaction.

According to him, he prefers to maintain a low-profile online presence rather than constantly engaging with fans, a style he suggested may not align with expectations within a major record label structure.
“Need to get this off my chest before Chanel drops, the reason I didn’t sign to Mavin when they were begging me with a million dollars is cos I don’t really like posting, I prefer 1 tweet per year than engaging my fans, I’m too big for that, I’m mysterious,” he wrote.
His statement has since generated reactions across social media, with fans and observers weighing in on his claim and public persona.
Mavin Records, one of Nigeria’s leading music labels, has yet to respond to the remarks at the time of filing this report.
