Seyi Tinubu has urged celebrity businessman, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, to remain optimistic following his unsuccessful bid for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency seat in Imo State.

The APC conducted its primary election on Saturday as part of preparations for the 2027 general elections.

Cubana Chief Priest, who serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, had contested for the House of Representatives ticket after obtaining the party’s expression of interest and nomination forms.

Before the exercise, he said his ambition was focused on youth empowerment, grassroots development and increasing political participation among young people within the constituency.

However, the businessman was unable to secure the party’s nomination.

Reacting to the outcome on Sunday through his Instagram story, Seyi Tinubu, who is the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, encouraged Okechukwu not to lose hope, stressing that setbacks can sometimes create opportunities for greater achievements.

In his message, Tinubu urged him to remain focused and expressed confidence in his potential and future contributions.

The development has attracted reactions from supporters and political observers as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum.
