A Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos, has ordered the remand of social media influencer, Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, in the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N36 million fraud case.

The EFCC said the influencer was arraigned before Justice D.I. Dipeolu on a two-count charge bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and stealing. The anti-graft agency stated that she pleaded not guilty to the charges during the court proceedings.
During the hearing, defence counsel informed the court that the defendant had reportedly refunded N24 million to the complainant and requested time to settle the outstanding amount. However, the prosecution argued that the matter involved the Federal Government and that any private arrangement between parties would not affect the legal process.

Following submissions from both sides, the court ordered that Blessing CEO be remanded in EFCC custody pending further proceedings. The case was subsequently adjourned to June 5, 2026, for commencement of trial.
