The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigeria Police Force to strengthening its technological and operational capabilities through strategic partnerships with the private sector.

Disu committed during a working visit to the EIB Group, where he was received by the company’s Chairman, Bright Echefu.

As part of the visit, the police chief toured several facilities operated by the group, including EIB Stratoc Limited in Idu, which specialises in surveillance solutions; Poctova, a security uniform production facility; Briech UAS in Kuje, known for drone manufacturing; and Giga Forensics in Idu, which focuses on forensic and interception technologies.

The tour highlighted the growing role of advanced technology in modern policing, particularly in intelligence gathering, surveillance, forensic investigations and crime prevention.

According to the police leadership, the engagement forms part of broader efforts to improve the operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force in tackling emerging security threats across the country.

Security experts have continued to emphasise the importance of technological innovation and collaboration between security agencies and private organisations in addressing contemporary security challenges in Nigeria.
